Fall 2026 Season Registration Information
TRAVEL REGISTRATION DUES are $160.00 for 7th/8th grade, $145 for 5th/6th grade & $135 for 3rd/4th grade.
LATE FEE ($25) starts after June 14, 2026 for Travel players
Open Registration Ends June 14, 2026 for Travel players, players subjected to wait list and late fee registering after this date, however all players need to be registered prior to attending tryouts.
Travel uniform ordering is an additional fee and is no longer part of the registration process. A separate email with a link for ordering will be sent by Tri-Valley Sports. We will be switching to a new uniform starting fall 2026, therefore all travel players will have to order a new uniform
All new travel players will need to order a full uniform kit.
All returning players have the option of ordering full kit, or just the new jerseys.
Late uniform orders will also be subject to a late fee of $25

For 1st/2nd grade players, we are going back to reversible jerseys. All 1st/2nd graders will receive a jersey as part of their initial registration to use for all of 1st and 2nd grade

- All players that wish to participate in the Travel Program should register prior to tryouts and by June 15, 2026 at the latest. See www.mhysa.com for further details regarding travel player skill evaluation ID session dates. Please note skill evaluation ID sessions are ONLY HELD IN SPRING for upcoming year.
- Anyone interested in coaching a team for the fall season must notify the league via email as soon as possible. Emails should be sent to [email protected] or [email protected] for the travel program and [email protected] for the in-town program. Please also indicate your interest on your child’s registration form or on-line registration.
- Registrations can be returned by mail to MHYSA, P.O. Box 669, Milford, MA 01757 by the deadline. Children are not considered eligible to play until all fees are paid in full. Any requests need to be documented in the “Comments” section of the paper registration to be considered. No LATE REQUESTS will be considered. NO REFUNDS on registrations will be issued.
- Registrations received after the deadline shall be placed on a waiting list with team placement subject to availability. We cannot guarantee a roster spot after this deadline as it is subject to available teams and coaches. If we are unable to place your child on a team your registration fee will be refunded.
- With respect to in-town teams, our primary goal is to create balanced competition and to introduce children to different coaching styles. Teams will be purposely reorganized with this in mind.
- You should expect to hear from your coach about 1 ½ weeks prior to the start of the season. Check the website www.mhysa.com for the confirmed start date and other information related to the upcoming season.
- Milford-Hopedale Youth Soccer Association provides no indoor affiliation.
Refund Policy: MHYSA has a no-refund policy. Unless there is a medical issue or player is moving out of town prior to season start, then we would need a doctor note or forwarding address.

In-Town Program
Pre-K & Kindergarten (previously known as U-6) - Games/practices are held each Saturday during the season. These sessions will usually be held at 8:30am at Plains Park in Milford. The sessions will last for 1 hour. The correct ball size for this age group is a #3 soccer ball.
Grade 1 and Grade 2 - Games are held each Saturday at Plains Park in Milford. Start times for games vary each week between 10:00am and 4:00pm.
Typically, there is one practice per week (held on a weeknight) for this age group. Please note however, that practices are held at the discretion of the volunteer coach based on his/her availability/work schedule, etc.
The correct ball size for these age groups is a #3 soccer ball for 1st grade and #4 soccer ball for 2nd grade
NOTE: The in-town program is currently only for some Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd grade students (i.e. children with birthdates no earlier than August 31, 2022)
Travel Program
Travel tryouts are held during May/June of each year for the following Fall and Spring seasons. See our website www.mhysa.com for additional details of the travel tryout schedule (travel evaluations).
The MHYSA Travel program is affiliated with the Boston Area Youth Soccer League (BAYS). Teams are organized by gender, age and skill level. These teams travel to other towns to play in a more competitive game situation.
Travel teams start at Grade 3 through Grade 8. Depending on the number of players, older aged teams can sometimes be fielded for the Spring season Grade 10 or 12.
Games are held each Saturday, with start times for these games typically between 9:00am and 4:00pm. Typically home games are played at Milford High School, Woodland Elementary School & Plains Park in Milford. Teams typically play a 10 game season, 5 games are played home and 5 away.
Typically there are one or two practices per week (usually weeknights) depending on the age group. Please note however, that practices are held at the discretion of the volunteer coach based on his/her availability/work schedule, etc.
The correct ball size for grade 3 - grade 6 is #4 soccer ball. The correct ball size for grade 7- grade 12 is #5 soccer ball.
Uniform Requirements:
Shin guards are required for all programs. Cleats are not required. If you are going to purchase, no metal cleats are allowed. Please make sure you purchase soccer cleats and not football/baseball turf shoes.
K/Pre-k shirts are team based. 1st/2nd grade In-town shirts are red and black reversible shirts. The travel shirts are red & black jerseys with black shorts and socks.
In town shorts and socks do not need to match the team. Travel shorts and socks should be black.
Refund Policy: MHYSA has a no-refund policy. Unless there is a medical issue, then we would need a doctor note.
